Composition Competition - Create music

Composition Competition Details

Official document of the Composition Competition, here

What: Compose a piece for the Third Degree to be premiered live at the 2018 NCD Convention Ritual. I hope that in the future, we can create a three-piece movement for the entire Ritual, but I want to focus all energies in the Third Degree for now. This piece can include all band instruments and voices.

  • You must submit a document of the score and an audio submission of the piece, (MIDI file, live performance, etc.). A word document of you explaining your piece to us is highly encouraged, but optional!

Who: All Actives of the North Central District in good standing are eligible to participate in this competition (including conditional members) and all alumni will also be eligible to participate as well as long as you were initiated and graduated from a chapter in the NCD. Best part, you do not have to submit a piece by yourself, you can work in a team!

When: All submissions will be due February 5th, 2018 11:59pm CST via email.
